What Are You Clinging To That Is Dragging You Down?

Being successful entails having goals and a vision of what you want to accomplish, then mapping out a plan on how to get there, and finally putting your plan in action.

This may require learning and practicing new skills. And it will certainly require leaving your comfort zone and taking risks.

However. It is not enough to ask what do I have to do and become. You also have to ask what do I have to let go of.

We all develop limiting beliefs and negative thought patterns. We hold onto grudges, give in to jealousy and envy, and criticize ourselves harshly, and worse, we just plain don’t believe in ourselves.

All of these negative mental habits must be let go of and left behind. Otherwise they will just drag you down and anchor you in place. Creating success is often more about what you have to let go of than what you have to become. Really the two go hand in hand.

Having the bitterness in your heart that comes from holding a grudge will stop up your creativity, get in the way of having fulfilling and productive relationships and cause you to be morose and moody. All of that gets in the way of having the success you desire.

Being jealous and envious of what other people have only serves to affirm in your own mind that you can’t have what you want. Affirming lack is a sure fire way to get more of it.

Not believing in yourself leads to lack of energy and desire, and actually saps your will power to create what you want in life. Depression is sure to set in unless you get rid of that useless belief pattern and replace it with a powerful new on. You can create anything you want in life. You just have to start believing it and then things will start coming together for you.

I shot this video to give you instructions on how to start believing in yourself. Check it out.

To sum this all up simply and briefly, let go of all negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones. The quality of your thinking will improve and your level of success will improve with it.

Earth Day Celebration

Happy earth day!

Many of us have lost touch with the rhythm of the earth. It is very easy to be caught up with the day to day routines of life. Especially if you are living in a city where noise stink and traffic are the norm.

There is something peaceful and quite magical about getting out into the woods,  sitting still and quite and listening. Feeling the warmth of the sunlight filtered through the tree leaves and smelling the fertile soil and green growth recharges you.

It allows you to reconnect with a quiet place inside that tends to get blocked out by the hectic pace of life with a job and family and responsibility.

Today remember that you are a citizen and child of the earth. You were born here and your life is dependent upon what the earth provides. Food, clean air and water, and the camaraderie of your fellow humans are all provided by the earth.

Spend time today reconnecting with the earth. Get out side and get off of the pavement. Find some natural ground and sit on it. Take your shoes off and feel the earth under your feet. Find that place of peace  inside where you are connected to nature.

If your life does not afford you the freedom to do that perhaps you want to consider rearranging things.

Thousands of people are leveraging the power of automated systems and the internet to make a living running there own business from home. People like us have the good fortune to be able to set our own schedule and write our own paycheck.

Let us show you how you can leverage the power of the Internet to free up your time to spend on what’s really important to you.

How To Advertise Your Home Business Using The Internet

There are a wide variety of options available for you to advertise your home business using the Internet ranging from no cost to high cost.

Internet marketing is a very powerful way to increase your number of new customers.

An example of a high cost option is Google adwords pay per click advertising. With adwords you choose keywords, or search phrases, relevant to your product or service, and then bid on how much you are willing to pay when some one clicks your ad and goes to your website.

Adwords ads are shown on the right hand side of the page when you do a search on Google. Adwords is expensive and there is a steep learning curve associated with using it properly, but once mastered it is considered the king of online advertising.

It is not recommended for beginners, and it is recommended to get high quality training before you attempt it.

The down side of advertising on with adwords is that once you stop paying the traffic to your website also stops.

Article marketing is a no cost advertising solution where you write informative articles teaching your readers about something related to your business. You write an article and submit it to an article distribution site, such as articlesbase.com or ezinearticles.com, and when people are searching for information about your product or service they may find your article in the organic listings of the search engine results.

The organic listings are the main results on the left hand side of the page when you do a search.

One of the many upsides of article marketing is that once your article is published it stays on the web for years, continually working for you, and they are free to submit. The only cost is the time it takes you to write it.

Another great way to advertise your home business is using social media sites like facebook and twitter. The object of using social media is to build relationships with people. As part of establishing a relationship with someone you can let them know what you do. It is important not to start out pitching your business to people up front, because it will only turn people off. Just let them know what you do and if they are interested then send them to your website to check it out.

Defining Success: What Do You Want?

Defining your goals is the first vital step to achieving them. Your goals are what you want in life, and are a reflection of your purpose. Success is achieving your goals.

This may seem like a no brainer, but the reality is that most of us have forgotten what we really want.

I say forgot but it is more like we have gone numb and can’t feel what we want anymore.

How does this happen?

When we are children we know exactly what we want. Remember? You would see something that caught your interest and you just had to have it. Or you wanted to go outside and play with your friends and anything else was just not appealing at all.

What happened to that perfect clarity of knowing exactly what you wanted?

You were trained that you couldn’t have it.

Do you remember hearing:

  • Don’t touch that
  • You can’t have that it’s too expensive
  • Stop doing that
  • You should be ashamed of yourself
  • You’re being selfish

With statements like these, and others, you were trained that you couldn’t have what you wanted and started to go numb because it was frustrating and it hurt being denied your desires.

I am here to tell you that you deserve to have what you want in life, all of it, and getting it starts with knowing what it is.

I have found in my own life, and in talking with my students, that knowing what you want can be a difficult step. So I am going to give you two exercises that will help you to remember, or uncover what it is that you really want.

The first exercise is to honor your preferences. The next time, and every time that you are offered a choice state your preference. Remove statements like, I don’t care, or whatever you want, from your vocabulary. They only serve to subjugate your desires. If you are not sure what you want, make a choice any way. That is a sure fire way to find out. If you don’t like what you have chosen, then now you’ve had an experience that lets you know your preference.

Does that make you feel selfish?

This is your life. If you go about it with no consideration for your own desires you are not going to have a very good time. Is it selfish to know what you want and go about having it? I don’t believe it is. What is selfish about honoring your own inner truth? I don’t just want that for myself, I want that for you and everyone else as well!

The second exercise is to make an I Want list. List 30 things you want to be before you die. List 30 things you want to do, and list 30 things you want to have.

This may be more difficult than it seems. Thirty is a lot of things, and in order to list that many you will have to start looking deep inside yourself. When you start to do that is when you will really begin to uncover what it is that you really want.

Give it a try. After you have uncovered what you want in life we can then go about creating a plan to make it happen.
